Encyclopedia of Farriery: Teeth Appendix...

Yeah, the teeth are a long way from the hooves.  But, as equine car professionals, farriers ought to know a little more about horses than just how to mount them on iron.  So Millwater's Farriery: The Illustrated Dictionary of Horseshoeing and Hoofcare includes quite a few entries on fundamental horsemanship, and this chart on basic aging of horses by teeth.

The base images were recycled from a couple of 19th Century books.  I had to modify them extensively to depict the key features I wanted to illustrate.  I started to draw them from scratch myself, but I'm already wearing my drawing table out with diagrams for the laminitis/founder anchor article...  And I really liked the look of these old drawings.

Of course, the print file is much higher resolution than what I'm posting online.
